Common buyer questions

What should buyers check before making an offer?

Clear answers about eligibility, financing, tenure and purchase steps.

Which new condominium launches are planned for 2026?+

Current project guides include Lentor Gardens Residences, Dunearn House, Thomson Reserve, River Modern and Chencharu Close Residence. Project timing, prices and availability can change; check each guide for its latest update.

How does an HDB resale purchase work?+

Check your eligibility and financing first. Then agree on a price, grant the Option to Purchase (OTP), and submit the resale application. Many transactions take about 8 to 10 weeks, but timelines vary with the case.

Can a foreign buyer purchase a private condominium?+

Foreign buyers can generally purchase private condominiums, subject to current rules and taxes. HDB flats and landed homes have additional restrictions. Confirm eligibility and Additional Buyer’s Stamp Duty with the relevant authorities before proceeding.

Can foreign buyers own landed homes?+

Most landed-home purchases by non-citizens require approval under the Residential Property Act. Permanent Residents may apply to the Singapore Land Authority, and some Sentosa Cove properties have different rules. Check the latest requirements for the specific home.

What qualifies as a Good Class Bungalow?+

Good Class Bungalows are landed homes in designated areas that meet planning criteria, including minimum plot size and building controls. Ownership is restricted, so buyers should confirm current eligibility and planning rules before making an offer.

How do freehold and leasehold homes differ?+

Freehold ownership has no fixed lease end date. Leasehold homes have a defined term, often 99 or 999 years. Remaining lease can affect financing and resale options, so compare the specific title and lender requirements before deciding.
